Jeffrey Mbarushimana is a dedicated public health professional with over 15 years of experience in healthcare and public service. He currently serves as a State of Vermont employee, where he focuses on policy development and implementation to address public health issues, particularly in the areas of health equity and accessibility. With a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree, Jeffrey’s work centers on public health policy, with a special emphasis on improving access to healthcare services for underserved populations.
Throughout his career, Jeffrey has collaborated with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community stakeholders to drive meaningful change in healthcare delivery and policy. His leadership has been pivotal in advancing initiatives aimed at reducing health disparities, especially for individuals living with chronic conditions such as Sickle Cell Disease. In addition to his policy work, Jeffrey is an advocate for community health, having organized and participated in numerous health fairs and outreach programs designed to increase awareness and access to care.
As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Jeffrey applies data-driven approaches to enhance the effectiveness of public health programs and ensure that resources are efficiently allocated to the communities that need them most. He has also been recognized for his outstanding contributions to public health, receiving awards and honors for his dedication to improving the quality of life for vulnerable populations.
