Hello, I’m Gav Panesar, the owner of the Panesar Hospitality Group. My journey in the hospitality industry began at the age of 18 when I started as a dishwasher. Through hard work and dedication, I gained valuable experience in various cafes and restaurants, which ultimately led me to open my first café, Mon Dieu. Starting this venue not only marked the beginning of my entrepreneurial path but also provided me with the incredible opportunity to meet and learn from great chefs, including Marco Pierre White, Shannon Bennett, and George Calombaris. Their insights and culinary artistry have significantly influenced my approach to hospitality and dining.
Since then, I have expanded my portfolio to include four successful venues, each reflecting my commitment to quality and exceptional service. I am also an investor in several additional hospitality projects, which allows me to support and nurture emerging talent within the industry. I’m passionate about helping other hospitality venues succeed by sharing my expertise and insights.
Recently, I was honored to receive the title of Most Innovative Hospitality Entrepreneur in Australia. This recognition reflects my ongoing ambition to push the boundaries of what is possible in hospitality and to provide extraordinary experiences for our guests.
