After a successful 12-year career in banking – holding roles across residential, commercial, and corporate lending at St. George, Westpac, and CBA – Michael Mankin transitioned into broking with a clear mission: put people first, and success will follow.
In 2024, he launched Mankin Finance, a brokerage renowned for going above and beyond for its clients. His leadership style – rooted in empathy, curiosity, and drive – has delivered rapid results. Within three months, Mankin Finance earned 50 five-star Google reviews. Within two years, Michael was named to MPA’s Rising Stars of 2025, won Rising Star of the Year at the Australian Broking Awards 2024, and was recognised as Most Valuable Partner by LoanOptions.ai.
Michael also delivers workshops for the NSW Government, helping small business owners understand how to access finance and improve their cash flow. He views education as a powerful way to empower people to make informed decisions.
Among his proudest achievements is building a high-performing team from the ground up – scaling his impact while maintaining a personalised, client-first approach.
A strong advocate for coaching and mentorship, Michael credits much of his growth to learning from top brokers and remaining open to feedback.
